The Founding 2012 Group Biography:

The original Africa Education Aid group was initially founded on Monday 26th March 2012 by Ryan Parkes who set up the charity with Evan Hollis, Daniel Grimley and James Kibble (the latter two now replaced by Matthew Gadsby and Liam Attwood) appointed as Chief Executives during the founding of the charity. George Mwanza joined the team a few days later to help create a link between his former primary school, Jandalala in Northern Malawi. The founding group also received a Derbyshire Young Achievers Award in December 2012.

This group achieved numerous goals between 2012 to 2016 with changes in management such as Matthew Gadsby and Liam Attwood join the Chief Executive team with James Kibble and Daniel Grimley becoming Non-Chief Executives to add various opinions to the board.

During their time in management this group manage has raised £7200 through various events such as Bingo Nights in which one raised £1255 on the 29th November. This allowed the group to send over 500+ football items from KitAid; replace the roof of the school; repair all the classrooms with the school by adding windows, doors and repainting them; building a playground; sending over 1000 books; and built the Mwanza-Gola Layibulare.

We would like to as a group thank Samantha Parkes, Sue Moore, Emma Wright and Mandy Weatherall for all of there help with the charity as without them most of the work we have done wouldn't have been possible.
